2-week course on the development, implementation and management of marine protected areas. Ideal for mid-level and senior government planners, decision-makers, MPA managers and NGOs with an interest in marine conservation and meeting international obligations for the protection of marine biodiversity.

Tropical coastal tourism is a major industry in Asia Pacific developing countries, contributing significantly to economic growth and local employment. The East Asia and Pacific region continues to be the fastest developing tourism region globally. Coastal tourism is dependent on the natural environment as its drawcard, with biodiversity hotspots increasingly being turned into tourism hotspots.


10-day professional-level training targeted to marine pollution control officials and others who have responsibilities related to marine pollution. Developed by experts using the Train-Sea-Coast methodology, the course equips participants with the knowledge and tools to develop management and contingency plans .
